Coach King just completed his 14th season as the head baseball coach for Thomas College. King played baseball at the University of Maine under legendary coach John Winkin. In 1996, King was an assistant coach for the Bangor Blue Ox of the Northern Independent League and he coached in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League as an assistant and as a Field Manager for seven years. A three-time conference Coach of the Year, King has led the Terriers to four Conference Championships, winning three. King’s passion is to help improve the quality of baseball throughout the state of Maine, especially the Central Maine area.
What makes our Academy Different:
1. Small group instruction: Instead of being surrounded by hundreds of other participants, the goal of the Summer Baseball Academy is to provide the best learning environment possible in a small group setting so each participant can receive one-on-one quality instruction based on his/her ability.
2. Repetition: Repetition is the key to quality learning and development. Your child will be instructed on all aspects of the sport of baseball but, more importantly, he/she will be afforded the opportunity to apply learning through repetitive drills while receiving quality feedback from Coach King and his staff.
3. Problem-specific learning opportunities: If you are having specific trouble with a baseball-related skill during your Little League, Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth, Senior Babe Ruth, or American Legion season, the Summer Academy can help.

Mike Torrez, former 18 year Major League Baseball Alumni teaches pitching fundamentals 2011.
This year Bucky Dent and Mike Torrez along with other baseball alumni will be on hand Monday July 30th 2012 for the morning clinic.
